PARENTS CAN LEARN WHAT’S NEW IN SPORTS INJURY PREVENTION

School sports are in high gear and many young athletes feel pressure to push themselves beyond their limits to gain a competitive edge. It’s up to parents and Soccer Jump Touchcoaches to help them stay healthy, know when to rest and avoid the pitfalls that lead to season ending injuries.  ONS Sports Medicine specialists, Paul Sethi, MD, and Katherine Vadasdi, MD will discuss the risks school athletes face during practice and competition and injury prevention measures they can take. They will also discuss the disturbing rise of performance enhancing substances among teen athletes, the signs that a student is using, and the long term physical consequences doping can have on young bodies in the stages of development.

There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
