ONS has a Magnetom Espree Open Bore MRI with an opening of more than 27 inches in diameter and has four times more power than standard “open MRIs”. For virtually all exams, including lumbar spine scans, the patient’s feet go in first and the head remains outside of the magnet bore without sacrificing image quality. For some exams, special coils are placed over a body part. The coils are ultra lightweight and barely noticeable.
Getting into the MRI is made easier because the table adjusts down to 18 inches off the floor. The technology of this scanner offers significantly reduced scanning time. A head-to-toe exam can be performed in a single pass.
All MRIs are evaluated by a Board-Certified Radiologist
A Board-certified radiologist will evaluate your MRI scan and complete a diagnostic report for your physician. Through a digital computer network, your doctor will review images and reports with you, right in the exam room. The ONS MRI is fully-accredited by The American College of Radiology.

MRI No-show / Cancellation Policy
ONS strives to provide each patient with the highest quality of care while attempting to accommodate your schedule. We realize that emergencies and other scheduling conflicts arise and are sometimes unavoidable. However, advance notification allows us to offer your time to another patient who is in need of services.
1) Patients must provide advance notice to change or cancel an appointment. Patients who do not arrive for a scheduled appointment will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. This charge cannot be billed to insurance and must be paid in order to reschedule your appointment.
2) Repeated failure to comply with this policy will result in your name being placed on a “Schedule Based on Availability” list. This will require you to call for appointment availability each day and our staff will do what they can to accommodate you as space on the schedule allows.
