BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Arthur Manoli III, MD, is a board-eligible, dual-fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in open and arthroscopic hip preservation surgery for adolescents and young adults and also performs hip and knee replacement surgery with a particular interest in complex deformity, revision surgery and joint replacement in young patients. He is fellowship trained in direct anterior hip replacement and is one of the few surgeons in the country who has advanced training in both hip arthroscopy and periacetabular osteotomy procedures for hip dysplasia in young adults. He also manages gluteal and hamstring tendon tears in patients of all ages.
Dr. Manoli has a particular interest in the accurate diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of complex hip problems and is experienced in the use of ultrasound-guided injections. Should surgery be necessary, Dr. Manoli uses the latest minimally invasive techniques including computer assisted “post-less” hip arthroscopy, bikini incision direct anterior hip replacement and endoscopic tendon surgery for appropriate candidates.
He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and returned to his hometown for residency training in orthopedic surgery at the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He went on to receive fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery at Brown University. He also completed a fellowship in hip preservation surgery at Duke University. Dr. Manoli’s research has been presented internationally and he has published numerous articles in peer review journals as well as book chapters and scientific presentations. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty.
