Throwing Injuries in Young Athletes
August 4 @ 5:00 pm - 5:30 pmFree
Shoulder or elbow pain is exceedingly common among our young throwers. Skeletal immaturity, improper mechanics, overuse and insufficient rest all play a role in the development of a shoulder or elbow injury in this vulnerable group of patients. Dr. Marc Kowalsky will identify risk factors for injury in the young baseball player, and discuss the most common conditions to affect the young thrower’s shoulder or elbow. Importantly, Dr. Kowalsky will identify preventative strategies to avoid injury, and to keep these athletes in the game. Q & A. Join the session on Microsoft Teams Live.
