Blood Flow Restriction Therapy at ONS

In the news

Blood Flow Restriction Therapy (BFRT) is now being used as an effective treatment in all ONS Physical Therapy Centers. BFRT may be used in the clinic for a wide range of patients from ortho rehab, post-surgical to patients with diagnoses of Parkinson’s and MS.

The technique which uses blood flow restriction in combination with low-load resistance training, has gained a lot of popularity over the last few years for its many benefits including improved muscular strength and mass and improved aerobic capacity.

Although no certification is required to perform BFRT, this strengthening technique should be done under the supervision of an experienced therapist to achieve the best outcomes.  Ask your ONS therapist if this innovative treatment is right for you.
