Many people suffer from severe pain caused by arthritis, a fracture or other conditions that make common activities such as walking, putting on shoes and socks or getting in and out of a car, extremely difficult. Today, over 600,000 hip and knee replacement surgeries are performed each year in the United States. Deciding if and when it’s time to consider joint replacement surgery are important decisions.
